Our Values
Although we are four distinct therapists with different approaches, our values are something we are deeply aligned on. Our core values are the pillars that uphold our practice: they guide how we work, how we treat people, and the creation of a supportive and ethical therapeutic environment.
Compassion
Acting with compassion is at the core of what we do. We know that reaching out for support can feel difficult and the process may be unfamiliar. However, we aim to meet everyone with warmth and sensitivity. Our promise is to work alongside you with kindness and patience, and we recognise that although everyone’s experiences are unique, they are equally valid and deserving of understanding.
Inclusivity
We are committed to offering support that is open, welcoming and highly respectful of difference. We acknowledge that people come from a wide range of backgrounds and walks of life, and all of them have a place at 5 Kirklee. We are steadfast in our belief that every person has the right to feel accepted, valued, and able to be themselves whilst getting the support they need.
Integrity
For our team, integrity means working in an honest and ethical way, both understanding and upholding our responsibilities as therapists. We are transparent about our practice, committed to creating clear boundaries, and dedicated to providing thoughtful and professional support. We understand that building trust is both integral and essential to therapy, and we treat this with great care.
Respect
We treat each individual’s experiences and choices with respect and recognise how important it is for people to feel listened to and understood. We recognise each person as the expert in their own life and work in a collaborative way with clients to support their dignity and autonomy throughout the therapeutic process.
