Kate
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist specialising in the perinatal period and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh in 2024.
I offer an integrative approach, drawing mainly on psychodynamic and person-centred theory. I have particular interest in how significant experiences and events shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and move through life. Some of these experiences may be rooted in childhood and adolescence. I seek to work alongside clients with the aim of supporting them in processing experiences and understanding and identifying meaning. At the heart of my work is the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and that therapy should be guided by your individual needs, values, and goals rather than by a fixed model.
I offer private one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy in addition to my work with Bluebell Perinatal Service in Glasgow. I specialise in supporting people during the perinatal period, including clients experiencing perinatal mood disorder or postnatal depression. I welcome mothers and fathers navigating the emotional and practical changes and expectations that can accompany pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Babies are welcome in session up until 6 months of age. Our counselling centre is designed to meet the needs of families at every stage, and our spaces are tailored to the needs of our clients, from infancy onwards.
Beyond my perinatal focus, I have experience working with adults with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, child sexual abuse, childhood trauma, sexual assault, PTSD, complex trauma and bereavement. I aim to offer support to clients in identifying, processing and integrating significant experiences and events in their lives, not limited to the perinatal period.
In this vein, I also offer creative, play-based therapy to children ages 5 – 12 experiencing emotional dysregulation, feelings arising around bereavement or loss, domestic abuse, low self-esteem, along with other difficulties. In addition, I have worked with children who have experienced care. My work with children is based in an integrative approach, drawing on both psychodynamic and person-centred theory. I offered counselling on a volunteer basis with mental health charity Place2Be in primary and secondary schools for 2 years prior to transitioning to private work. I value working creatively with children, using tools such as art, drama and play to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. In sessions, I aim to support children in identifying their emotions and experiences without judgement to better support them in building the emotional tools to process and regulate their emotions and create meaning from their experiences. Sessions are child-led and designed to build confidence and a sense of autonomy.
Coming to therapy offers a space to explore what’s happening at a deeper level, not just to manage symptoms. Both the length and focus of our work together is entirely client-led, meaning you have full autonomy over what we discuss in sessions, and for how long you or your child attends therapy. I offer in-person sessions only as presence is an integral part of my therapeutic approach.

I’m a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a background in psychology and a passion for supporting both adults and young people through a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
My experience includes working in education, NHS and community settings. This has given me a strong foundation in understanding the unique pressures faced by adolescents as well as adults navigating life transitions.
I work particularly well with teenagers and young adults experiencing anxiety, including panic attacks and social phobia. I also offer a warm, non-judgmental space for individuals exploring or navigating issues related to gender, sexuality and identity. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I value creating an environment where clients can feel seen and understood.
I have a special interest in working with neurodivergent clients and my approach is collaborative and flexible, ensuring therapy is accessible and tailored to each person’s way of thinking and processing.
Using evidence-based CBT techniques, I aim to empower clients to develop practical strategies for change while building self-awareness and self-compassion.
Lucy
I qualified as a Dramatherapist in 2001, and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have over 25 years’ experience working alongside children and their families in a wide variety of settings. For the past ten years I have managed a counselling and therapy service based in primary schools for a national charity, as well as working in private practice. I offer children and young people a safe, accepting and non-judgemental space in which they can choose to communicate verbally or non-verbally – sessions are adapted and tailored to the needs of the individual.
I offer support to children who present with a range of difficulties that impact their mental wellbeing. Issues I work with include, though are not limited to, emotional regulation, self-esteem, peer relationships and confidence. I am also experienced in working with children who have experienced developmental trauma, grief and loss, parental separation, and attachment difficulties.
Working together within a compassionate space and building a trusting relationship allows children to explore their experiences in a way that feels right for them. Children can use drama, play and creative materials to express their feelings, tell their stories and process difficult experiences. I accompany children on their therapeutic journey at their own pace, giving them the tools to make sense of their experiences and to unlock their potential for self-healing.
